Dental Clinic

History: The dental department was established in 1996, thanks to the efforts of the Rotary Club of Bangalore, Singapore and USA.   Dr. Prithvi Raval was integral to its establishment and inuagurated it on 21st April 1996. Since then it has provided services to the people of this valley. It is currently staffed by two dentists, assitants and internes from Christian Dental College Ludhiana.

Aim: To provide cost effective, comprehensive and quality dental care to the people of the Kullu valley.

Facilities:

Oral surgery, Periodontia, Pedodontia restorations with preventive and interceptive measures, , Orthodontia with removable appliances, Prosthodontia with removable dentures, complete dentures, crowns and bridges. Endodontia with root canal treatment, and Cosmetic dentistry  with fillings, bleaching, crowns.

Activities: Active in the school health program through oral health education for students, parents and teachers.

Future plans:

  • To spread awareness of oral and dental health to the people in and around manali.
  • Widen the existing school health program.
  • Reach into villages and community.
  • Dental lab for ceramics.

The Dental Clinic is an integral part of services rendered in LWH hospital.
