Thotwan Vashum (OT Technician)

One of eleven siblings, and from Mizoram, he first heard of Lady Willingdon Hospital through his sister who was sponsored for nursing training three years ago. His sister Apei,  has now joined us as a staff nurse. Thotwan was sent for a one year Operating technicians course in Herbertpur. He has finished his studies with flying colors and will join us in the latter part of this year after his internship.

Tulwanti (Nursing training)

Popularly called Ahalya, she is a local girl from a village nearby. Her sister works here with us as a housekeeping staff in our operating theatre. Ahalya helped take care of Dr. Alkas daughter Tanvi, and it was at this time that she developed an interest in nursing. She is being sponsored for the current academic year and will commence her studies in Kanpur in September.

Meena (Nursing training)

From Subatu childrens home, the sister concern of the Dar Ul Fazal childrens home in Manali, Meena has always wanted to do nursing, but never dreamed she would get the chance to. She also joins Ahalya to start her course in Kanpur in September this year.

Ashish Giri (Coaching for med school)

Ashish is a campus kid, his mother Tuli working here as a ward aide for the past twelve years. He has always distinguished himself in the top of his class, and has won many awards and medals in academics and sports. His attempt at med school this year was not successful, but not to give up easily, he is going to try again next year and is attending a coaching school which will help him handle the intense competition.
