Peripheral clinics

We have three peripheral clinics.

  1. Jibhi, in Banjar district
  2. Madgaon in Lahaul
  3. Kaaza, in Spiti

These clinics close over the winter but in summer function to host medical and surgical camps. Each is situated in a picturesque strategic location. Each also has outpatient and inpatient facilities, with provisions for surgery and dentistry.

Jibhi

The Jibhi team now has Dr. Susan Passah joining Kantha, Prema and Robyn and Manju on 3rd March 2009. The fortnightly medical clinics continue as also the teaching and training community workers. Preliminary studies have revealed a 39% severe stunting among children below five. Nutritional intervention programs have been developed targetting this group and we hope to implement them this year.

Drs. Kaaren and Jeph Mathias will return to Jibhi this May with an addtion to their family - Jalori Mathias, now a three month old chubby baby.

 From  the Jibhi Team.

Three strategically located peripheral clinics help remote areas of Himachal Pradesh.
