Our Staff

Anna worked as Associate Prof in Emergency medicine, till she came to India. She has been running medical clinics to Ladakh since 1993. She is the only internal medicine specialist here. She now is implementing management protocols and procedures  at the hospital.

Philip has been on the staff of Christian Medical College, department of Surgery for many years. His interest is to direct the focus and attention of medical education into the rural areas. He is the present Medical Superintendant of the hospital.

Dr. Rahul is nearly finishing his training at Padhar hospital. He will return August 09. His wife Dr. Jasmeet is currently third  year anesthetic resident in CMC Ludhiana. She will finish in two years time to return to us.

Reema is doing her service obligation here for two years. We are very glad to have her.

Geeta is the kid of one of our staff who was trained and has now rejoined us.

Nirmala first joined as part of our community effort, then was sent for nursing training, did a brief stint in IGMC Simla before deciding to come back to join us again.

Hukum has joined us at a crucial time, when the twenty computers are being networked. This is God's provision. He is now quite busy getting them all networked.

He has experience in local area networks and hardware, but will also have to learn some software as Faisal, our software consultant might soon have to leave us.

He is engaged to Meena in the dental department and that is another welcome addition to our hospital family.

Dr. Ranjit Christopher first trained as a dentist, then went on to do hospital adminstration. He has achieved high standards in both fields, but at present prefers to concentrate on the latter.

He has joined as the Hospital Adminstrator (at last). We can hear Philip breathe an audible sigh of relief.

We are specially thankful for his joining and for his wife also who accompanies him to join as our social worker.

Incidentally Christo and his wife Pushpa are recently married and both of them are very talented in music. We look forward to many a song together.

Ms. Kalpana has been here for the past ten years, and has now become the backbone of the accounts department. Despite no formal training she very ably manages all documentation and accounts.

Johannah has set up an excellent physiotherapy service. She provides her specialised care to supplement and bolster the orthopedic and rehabilitative work done here.

She is assisted ably by Mr. Dhuni Chand.

Lori from the United States is contributing her skills and services for three months and is a big boost to the department. Welcome and thanks, Lori.

Pushpa Christopher has joined as a social worker, a need which has long been felt for LWH, but we never really thought we would actually have one.

She will now add this dimension to the work in LWH Manali. She hopes to get involved in the community outreach and evolve programmes for this purpose, together with Drs. Jeph and Kaaren Mathias.

Pushpa is very talented in music and together with her husband, we do look forward to many a duet.
