State Bank of India donates new vehicle

For nine years now, we have been using our vehicles for camps in distant villages and remote locations, driving them over rough roads and spaces where there are no roads. These vehicles have done well, and have been well maintained by our staff. Mr. Sam Paul, our fix it guy, has done and excellent job. However, all these miles do take a toll, and of late maintainance costs have been increasing and repairs have been more frequent. We have been in need of a new vehicle, to replace the older ones in our fleet.

Out of the blue, I got a call from the State Bank of India, saying they want to donate a vehicle to us! Yesterday, they presented us with a cheque. We will be able to get a fully loaded utility vehicle which is an optional four wheel drive! We hope to have a function to commission it when we obtain it in March.

Such instances bring to life words such as “He knows our needs before we ask of Him.”
